U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is confident Iran will stop enriching uranium and abandon any efforts to build a nuclear weapon, even as negotiations between Washington and Tehran have reached a stalemate, UNN reports citing CNN.

"They're going to stop 100%," Trump said in an interview on WABC, when asked if he believed Iran could be prevented from enriching uranium and developing a bomb.
Trump said he has interacted directly with Iranian officials during the negotiations.
"I'm dealing with them," Trump said. "And they said we're going to get that dust. I call it nuclear dust because it's appropriate. And we're going to get it."
Trump also stated that the U.S. does not need to rush into a deal.
"We're not going to be in any rush, we have a blockade," Trump said.

These statements came a day after Trump said the truce between the U.S. and Iran was on "massive life support" following Tehran's latest counter-proposal, which he called "simply unacceptable."
