It's obvious to everyone that the building from whose roof the shooting was carried out had to be under special control," Donald Trump said during a conversation with American entrepreneur Elon Musk.
Trump also praised the work of the U.S. Secret Service sniper, who killed Thomas Matthew Crooks, who had made the attempt, with a return shot.
"He saw the smoke and flashes, instantly recognized what it was, and immediately fired. It was a perfect shot from a long distance. If he hadn't, many more people would have been injured or killed," Trump added.
