TikTok is considering cutting about 300 jobs at its European hub in Dublin after a similar wave of layoffs last year, UNN reports citing Bloomberg.

According to an email to employees sent on Wednesday and reviewed by Bloomberg, the technology company owned by ByteDance Ltd. may restructure its data processing and artificial intelligence operations team in the country and consolidate quality assurance activities in other regional hubs.
A TikTok spokesperson said that some employees at risk of layoffs will be offered other positions, and the proposed restructuring will also create new roles, resulting in a total headcount reduction of approximately 300 people.
"We are exploring a possible reorganization to strengthen our global trust and safety operating model, including proposals to evolve working methods to ensure team scalability and flexibility," the spokesperson said in a statement.
In March 2025, TikTok informed the Irish government of plans to cut about 300 employees in Dublin, representing roughly 10% of its total workforce, as reported by the Irish Times at the time. Dublin is the hub of TikTok's trust and safety operations, including content moderation and data protection.
Dublin, a major European hub for foreign technology companies including TikTok, Meta Platforms Inc., and Amazon.com Inc., has been heavily impacted by staff cuts in recent years, as companies restructure to prioritize investments in artificial intelligence. This has led to another wave of cuts at Meta, affecting 20% of Irish employees, higher than the global average of 10%.
