The oil spill at the refinery in Tuapse, Russia, has been contained following a drone attack, but measures for the full elimination of the consequences are currently insufficient. This was stated by the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, UNN reports.

According to him, the situation is under control, but there are plans to reinforce the protective embankments around the facility tonight. Additional boom barriers are also being prepared to prevent oil products from entering the Black Sea. Nine lines of such barriers have already been installed on the Tuapse River.
Consequences of the attack and liquidation
Following another drone attack on the night of April 28, hundreds of rescuers and dozens of pieces of equipment are working at the site.
About 300 more specialists, including 40 divers, are planned to be involved in the work. A regional-level state of emergency has also been introduced in the city.
Due to the incident in Tuapse, residents of several streets were evacuated, and more than 30 streets were left without water supply. Authorities warn of possible environmental consequences, despite the absence, according to them, of an immediate threat.
