Yuriy Vlasenko has been elected chairman of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities, the regulator's press service said on Friday, UNN reports.

"On August 2, 2024, during a closed meeting, the NEURC members elected Yuriy Vlasenko as the regulator's chairman by secret ballot," the statement said.

According to the NEURC, Yuriy Vlasenko has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector. In particular, he has held various positions at the Electricity Regulatory Commission and the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities.
From May 2021 to July 2024, he worked as the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
