The Ministry of Social Policy has developed a draft resolution to extend the payment of assistance to internally displaced persons whose payment period ends at the end of January 2024. This is reported by the press service of the department, UNN reports .
Details
The ministry explained that some internally displaced persons will not receive payments from February so the ministry has developed a draft resolution to extend the payment of assistance to IDPs who received it before August 1, 2023. and for whom the payment period ends at the end of January 2024.
The draft resolution proposes to extend payments for internally displaced persons of retirement age and those IDPs who are unable to find employment due to objective circumstances, while combining this with the provision of important social services (primarily childcare services, such as "municipal nanny"), as well as encouraging able-bodied members of such families to look for work, apply for grant programs to start their own business, undergo retraining, etc.
The act also proposes to significantly revise the possibilities of assigning low-income assistance so that those families at risk of poverty can use it more actively.
It is emphasized that this approach was developed by the Ministry of Social Policy jointly with the Ministry of Reintegration and the Ministry of Finance, and aims to increase support for the most vulnerable categories of citizens.
Addendum
The Ministry explained that one of the important tools to support internally displaced persons is the payment of state allowances for IDPs.
That is why the Ministry of Social Policy proposes to combine the mechanism of payments with other mechanisms of support for families to help them get back on their feet after displacement and integrate into new communities
To recap
