No automatic fines will be imposed for failure to update military registration data by July 16. Fines may be imposed within three months from the date of detection of the offense and up to one year from the date of its commission. This was stated by Mark Andrusiak, Director of the Department of Personnel Policy of the Ministry of Defense, UNN reports .

As Andrusiak emphasized, the two-month period specified in the law for citizens to update their military records expires on 16. According to him, this provision was introduced in order to establish a fair approach to all citizens in fulfilling their constitutional military duty.
Citizens had to update 3 main categories of their military registration data: place of residence, phone number and email address. Citizens who have not updated their military registration data may be held administratively liable (...) currently, the amount of liability ranges from 17,000 to 25,500 UAH. The law of Ukraine and other legal acts do not provide for an automatic procedure for imposing fines,
He added that fines can be imposed within three months from the date of detection of the offense to one year from the date of its commission.

As of today, about 3 million citizens have updated their military registration data, but not all citizens who have updated their registration data will be called up for military service, as the need for conscription by the Armed Forces is much lower.
