Ukraine will launch the Iron Range project, a new, simplified system for evaluating and testing new weapons. This should accelerate the development of weapons and their delivery to the army, Colonel Andriy Lebedenko, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told Suspilne, UNN reports.

According to him, the project is being launched in cooperation with the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Strategic Industry. The main goal of the project is to support Ukrainian weapons developers, of which there are actually a lot.
We want to create this testing ground, which will allow the manufacturer to get access to a professional assessment of his product, guide him through the methodology of all tests, provide a site and appropriate means for evaluating the characteristics of certain products, and assist in the paperwork
According to the colonel, the old system is more complicated, requires more procedures, and manufacturers' access to test sites is difficult.
The Iron Range project will focus on three areas: robotic systems, drones, and electronic warfare systems. The project is expected to be launched in a month.
Any manufacturer at any stage of production of their sample has the opportunity to contact the Armed Forces and get the time and date when they can arrive [at the range] with their sample
