MP and head of Ukraine's permanent delegation to the NATO PA Yehor Chernev said during a telethon that the controversy in the US over aid to Ukraine arises because some American politicians and citizens think that supporting Ukraine is charity, UNN reports.
"They don't see the whole picture of the world. Because they see only from their perception of the costs of Ukraine in the United States. Again, they think it's charity and it's just a good US government helping a democratic country like Ukraine win. But they do not connect this with the fact that it is about the overall security architecture of the world and the world order, which will also affect them

At the suggestion of the congressmen, Ukrainian MPs visited the United Statesto convey to American voters the need for further assistance to Ukraine.
"We drew a clear parallel. If Ukraine falls today and Russia wins, it will send a signal to other dictators that it is okay to redraw the borders of countries by force. And there will be no reaction," Chernev emphasized.
