The initial idea for the seizure of state land came from the current Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky. He directed the actions of the accomplices. This was stated by the prosecutor during a meeting of the HACC, reports UNN.

"We believe that these accomplices, who actually committed the criminal offense, the detailed roles of each of them are indicated in the petition, that their actions were led, as I have already noted, by three co-organizers and that in fact the initial idea for committing a criminal offense arose from Solsky and therefore he actually led the actions of the accomplices, from the very beginning of the criminal offense until its completion in February 2021," the prosecutor said.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has begun consideration of a motion to impose a preventive measure on Mykola Solsky, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, who is suspected of seizing state land.
On April 23, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced that the former head of the Verkhovna Rada's Agrarian Committee and current Minister was exposed for seizing state land worth UAH 291 million and attempting to seize land worth another UAH 190 million.
