The State Bureau of Investigation has commented on the confiscation of ammunition at a checkpoint in Odesa region, which, according to Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Smirnov of the Ukrainian Navy, allegedly affected the work of air defense in Odesa region. SBI Communications Advisor Tetiana Sapian said on a TV channel that the confiscation of ammunition did not affect the work of air defense, UNN reported.
The seizure of explosives does not affect the defense capabilities of the units protecting the airspace of the region
According to her, the explosives were found at one of the checkpoints in Odesa region in a car carrying active armor with TNT, and they do not affect the defense capability of the unit defending the airspace, including Odesa region.
According to her, the soldier is currently unwilling to cooperate with the investigation.
"These explosive substances were transported without complying with the safety requirements for the transportation of such cargoes and without permits. That is, these documents were not present during the inspection," Sapian said.

Soldier Andriy Smirnov said in a comment to hromadske that according to the order of the unit commander, on the night of November 5, the military transported explosives from the military unit to the area of combat missions. These were explosives for FPV drones, which are needed to destroy reconnaissance drones over the Odesa region. He assures that during the transportation he had all the necessary documents, an invoice for these materials and a transportation permit.
According to him, the confiscation of ammunition allegedly blocked the work of an air defense unit in southern Ukraine.
