De Kroo said that this week there was "close cooperation" between Belgian and Czech intelligence services to destroy the Russian propaganda network.

For example, it has become known that Russia has approached members of the European Parliament, but also paid [them] to promote Russian propaganda here

De Kroo said during a debate in the Belgian national parliament on foreign interference, without naming the lawmakers.

De Croo did not name the legislators.

De Kroo's spokesman said he was referring to the Czech government's decision to impose sanctions on the Voice of Europe news site, which Prague said was part of a pro-Russian influence operation.
