Russia opens case on terrorist financing by "US officials". The scandalous Zlochevsky is "under suspicion" of financing terrorism

In the Russian Federation, the investigative committee opened a criminal case regarding the financing of terrorism by "officials of the US and NATO countries." According to rosZMI, earlier the deputies of the State Duma suspected that Mykola Zlochevskyi is one of the key "sponsors of terrorist activity" in Ukraine, UNN reports.

The Russian Federation believes that funds were allegedly used to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia and abroad "in order to eliminate well-known political and public figures", including through the "oil and gas company Burisma Holdings, which operates in Ukraine".

The Russian media reminds us that the company is associated with the son of the US President Hunter Biden.

As a result, the Russian Federation opened a case under Part 4 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code (financing of terrorism).

What is known about Mykola Zlochevsky?

Mykola Zlochevsky is the owner of Burisma, the largest private gas production company in Ukraine, and the founder of the International Forum on Energy Security. He is a former member of the Party of Regions. He served as Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine from July 2 to December 9, 2010.

Zlochevsky left Ukraine in late 2014. Subsequently, the Prosecutor General's Office put him on the wanted list on suspicion of illicit enrichment (part 3 of Article 368-2 of the Criminal Code).

In 2019, the suspicion against the former Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, owner of Burisma Mykola Zlochevsky was expanded to include an article on embezzlement of public funds on an especially large scale.

In June 2020, it became known that the heads of the SAPO and NABU were offered $6 million for closing the criminal proceedings involving the owner of the gas production company Burisma, former Minister of Environmental Protection of Ukraine Mykola Zlochevsky.
