Russia has increased its presence on the territory of Belarus by deploying a large-scale military grouping in two regions. This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War, UNN reports.

According to the ISW, the Belarusian military has deployed a military grouping of 1,840 soldiers, up to 68-70 armored personnel carriers, 24 artillery systems, and three air defense systems near the Ukrainian border.
It included an airborne assault battalion of the 38th airborne assault brigade near Uzhovo and south of Pinsk in the Brest region and two detachments of the 5th special forces brigade near Ivanovo and Pribolovichi in the Gomel region.
Also, a parachute battalion of the 103rd separate airborne brigade near Lelchytsia district, Brahima and Zyabrivka in Gomel region, a tactical group of the 51st artillery brigade south of Gomel city and a jet artillery battery of the 336th jet artillery brigade near Zyabrivka.
