Russian troops fired mortars and cannon artillery at the border of Chernihiv region yesterday, resulting in 6 explosions. This was reported on Tuesday by the Northern Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, UNN reports .
"During the day, Russian troops struck with a 120 mm mortar and cannon artillery at the border of Chernihiv region. 6 explosions were recorded ", - the SBGSU representative office reported on Facebook.
In Novhorod-Siverska community, there were 5 explosions, allegedly from a mortar, in the direction of the village of Mykhalchyna Sloboda. In Semenivska community, one explosion was recorded, probably from cannon artillery, in the direction of Bleshnya.
There were no reports of deaths or injuries among the local population as a result of the shelling.

Russian troops struck 20 settlements in Chernihiv region 56 times last week, resulting in 191 explosions. About 20 people sought medical care as a result of the attacks.
