Hungary will carry out a "legal correction" of controversial LGBTQ laws to ensure they reflect EU values, stated Hungary's Minister of Justice candidate Márta Görög, UNN reports, citing The Guardian.

Görög stated to lawmakers this morning that Hungary will need to revise legislation restricting access to LGBTQ content after the European Union's Supreme Court ruled that it violates EU laws.
"Hungary is a member of the European Union, and this means that Hungary bears responsibility," Görög told a parliamentary committee.
"This means that regarding this court decision, the Ministry of Justice must carry out a legal correction," she indicated.
She added that Hungarian legislation cannot exist in isolation and must reflect international and European legal standards, including shared EU values.
As the publication writes, these are the "first signals of how the new administration will differ from the one led by Viktor Orbán over the past 16 years."
The new Hungarian government is expected to be fully confirmed later today.
