Today, on December 24, law enforcement officers are conducting searches in Kyiv at the Kyivmisksvitlo utility company. Investigative actions are being carried out in the case of the alleged involvement of the company's officials in overstating the cost of lighting repairs, the press service of KCSA reported, according to UNN.
Today, on December 24, employees of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv are conducting searches at the Kyivmiskvytlo utility company. Investigative actions are being carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings regarding the alleged involvement of officials of the utility company in the excessive costs of capital repairs of outdoor lighting networks in 2023-2024
The KCSA emphasized that currently only a pre-trial investigation is being conducted to identify and record alleged offenses.
It was also recalled that in 2023-2024, Kyivmisksvitlo commissioned design and estimate documentation for major repairs of outdoor lighting networks in the capital. According to KCSA, the documentation received a positive expert report and was approved in accordance with the established procedure.
“All tender procedures were conducted in accordance with the law. Estimated payments were made exclusively on the basis of certificates of completion and after confirmation of the results of expert examinations. In addition, the certificates of completion were subject to state examination before payment to the contractor,” the administration said.
According to the company, given that some of the contracts for 2024 have not yet been finalized, “conducting investigative actions, namely searches with the seizure of original documents for this period, hinders the activities of the utility company.”
However, the KCSA indicated that Kyivmisksvitlo employees are cooperating with law enforcement agencies.

In the summer, it was reported that two officials of the municipal enterprise and three representatives of the contractor company were served with a notice of suspicion of embezzlement of budget funds in the amount of UAH 1.4 million through the conclusion of invalid contracts for the overhaul of the buildings of the municipal enterprise “Kyivmisksvitlo”.
