The National Guard and the Red Cross of Ukraine have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership. This was reported on Facebook by the press service of the National Guard, UNN reports.

"The Ukrainian Red Cross plays a supporting role in the implementation of the state humanitarian policy and in the field of medicine. Physical and mental rehabilitation of veterans returning from the frontline to civilian life is one of the main areas we are developing. The Ukrainian Red Cross is ready to provide comprehensive assistance to support veterans and their families," said Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Among the main areas of cooperation:
- joint measures for psychosocial support of NGU veterans and their families;
- awareness-raising activities on the risks of explosive devices and rules for safer behavior;
- assistance in conducting recovery activities for psychologists of the National Guard of Ukraine,
- training of mental health professionals, including training and support of supervisors from among psychologists of the National Guard;
- social support for family members of soldiers who were killed, captured or went missing and support for such families from the Ukrainian Red Cross.
In addition, the representatives of the Humanitarian Center handed over special information stands that will help the NGU specialists in carrying out measures to prevent the risk from explosive devices, as well as in training on the rules of safe behavior of civilians, including children.
