In the north-central part of Nigeria, militants kidnapped at least 20 medical students who were on their way to a conference. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

It is stated that armed men kidnapped the students in Nigeria's Benue state on their way to Enugu state. The police reported that they are currently investigating the incident.
This is not the first time people have been kidnapped in northern Nigeria. Armed gangs have been kidnapping farmers, students and motorists for ransom, and security forces have been unable to put a stop to it.
