The Netherlands will continue to make efforts to establish the truth and ensure justice regarding the downing of flight MH17 10 years ago, said the newly appointed Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp, reports UNN.
July 7, 2014 was a black day. 298 innocent people, including 196 Dutch citizens, lost their lives when flight MH17 was shot down. Today, 10 years later, I stand with the families of the victims to commemorate this tremendous loss. An open wound that they continue to live with every day
The Dutch foreign minister emphasized that from the first day after the disaster, the Netherlands did everything possible to uncover the facts of the tragedy. In recent years, together with other affected countries, they have been working continuously to, as Veldkamp said, "establish the truth and ensure justice.
"We will continue to do so," the minister assured.
