Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Ruslan Kravchenko and Washington State Governor Jay Inslee signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the regions. This is the first document in the history of Ukraine and the United States on cooperation between a Ukrainian region and an American state, UNN reports, citing the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
The memorandum was signed during a working visit to the United States by Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the KODA.

Kyiv region and the state of Washington will cooperate in the following areas:
economy and investments;
agro-innovations;
sustainable bioeconomy
clean energy;
digital technologies;
restoring the infrastructure of Kyiv region.
Implementing joint projects with American partners is a joint contribution to Ukraine's victory. I am grateful to Mr. Governor Inslee that his first words were about the invincibility of the Ukrainian people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are admired by the whole world. My American colleague added that we should learn courage and strength from Ukrainians

The Chairman of the Cova invited Governor Jay Inslee to visit Kyiv region in the near future and personally participate in the International Cities and Regions Summit, which is scheduled to be held soon.
During the visit, the KODA Chairman also held a number of other important meetings. In particular, he met with Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, Lieutenant Governor and President of the Washington State Senate Danny Heck, Deputy King County Executive Shannon Braddock, representatives of the Seattle City Administration and other government officials, and Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodard.
The main issue is consistent support in the fight against the Russian aggressor. I thanked the U.S. Government and the entire American people for the enormous humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine. Every day Russians continue their attacks, kill civilians and destroy our cities. Therefore, the victory over Russia requires united and consistent actions of the entire civilized world. The more weapons Ukraine has to defend itself, the faster it will be able to stop the enemy. I asked every official I met with to do everything possible at their level to help Ukraine in a timely manner. Because the future of Ukraine and the lives of millions of people depend on it
During the meetings, the parties also discussed assistance to the Ukrainian military and enhancing security measures; increasing the number of mobile fire groups in Kyiv region and their proper equipment; increasing the production of drones and electronic warfare equipment. In addition, they discussed the implementation of projects to rebuild Kyiv region; economic development and increased investment; strengthening the fight against corruption; and the creation of a rehabilitation center for the military and civilians in the region.
Another important visit was to the headquarters of the Washington National Guard in Camp Murray. Ruslan Kravchenko thanked the U.S. military for helping the Ukrainian people and our defenders. The head of the KODA handed them a flag with the signatures of Ukrainian defenders from the legendary 72nd Black Cossacks Brigade. The US military promised to provide additional military equipment for the needs of our defenders.
