Law enforcement officers exposed a group of criminals, including current and former officials of the State Land Cadastre in Kyiv region, who illegally seized a land plot on the territory of the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park. This was reported by UNN with reference to the National Police.

The criminal scheme was eliminated by the criminal police officers jointly with the Main Investigation Department of the National Police, with the assistance of the Department for Control over Land Use and Protection of the State Geocadastre of Ukraine
It was established that a group of people who held senior positions in a state-owned enterprise, using their official position, forged a state certificate of ownership of an 8-hectare land plot.
Subsequently, the fraudsters registered the act in the National Cadastral System of Ukraine and in the system of registration of real rights to real estate. After the illegal seizure of the land, the criminals tried to sell it.

During the authorized searches, police seized the original documents. The damage caused to the state by the defendants is over ₴105 million.
National Police investigators gathered sufficient evidence and served five members of the organized criminal group with a notice of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud committed on a large scale by an organized group).
Offenders face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Law enforcement officers add that the illegal registration of ownership of the land plot was canceled in accordance with the procedure provided by law, and the land plot was returned to the nature reserve fund of Ukraine.
