Infantino's initiative involved creating a commercial company that could include private investors, which sparked widespread opposition among football organizations.

Having listened carefully to all opinions, I clearly understood that this project caused such a division that, regardless of the level of its support, it no longer serves the purposes for which it was proposed

– said Infantino, as quoted by Reuters.

Earlier, UEFA, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and CONCACAF opposed this initiative. Amid the criticism, Infantino's senior adviser also resigned, and FIFA CEO Kevin Lamour stated that he is ready to leave his position due to disagreement with the project.
