"From November 18 to 24, 120 465 cases of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza and COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine, of which 70 522 were among children," the Ministry of Health reported.
As indicated, 2 686 patients were hospitalized, including 1 537 children, all of whom received the necessary medical care. 209 out of 668 patients with COVID-19 were treated in the hospital. most cases of coronavirus were recorded in the Kiev, Rivne and Chernihiv regions.
"In general, since the beginning of the epidemic season, 941 629 people have been ill with SARS, flu and COVID-19, which is 17.6 % less than last year. COVID - 19 was detected in 12 515 cases, 49 deaths were registered due to complications of coronavirus infection," the Ministry of Health said.
"Now the country recorded exceeding the epidemic threshold of a low level in the Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions. In other regions of the country, the situation is stable," the report says.
As noted, in case of complication of the epidemic situation in a particular community in medical, educational institutions, trade institutions, public catering, enterprises, transport, regional commissions of TEB and emergency situations can locally implement measures aimed at reducing the risk and spread of the epidemic. This may include, for example, quarantine in certain classrooms or schools, a recommendation to wear masks, or limiting the number of visitors in institutions and organizations.
