In Lviv, a drunk man overturned tables and attacked a Municipal Guard employee. The victim was hospitalized, and the attacker was detained by the police.

In Lviv, at the "Vernissage" market, a visitor who was intoxicated attacked an employee of the Municipal Guard, UNN reports, citing the Lviv City Council.

The conflict occurred at around 17:05. The man was overturning tables and did not respond to remarks. The Municipal Guard employee called the police and, before law enforcement officers arrived, tried to photograph the offender and detain him.

At that moment, the man struck the guard from behind with a stick. The Municipal Guard employee was hospitalized. According to preliminary information from medics, he sustained a contusion and a wound to the occipital region of the head, which required stitches.

Police officers took the offender away from the scene. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
