On April 8, a drunken man threw a grenade into his girlfriend's apartment in Chernivtsi. As a result of the explosion, the man suffered injuries to his limbs. This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in the Chernivtsi region, UNN reports.

The incident reportedly took place in an apartment on Tekstylnykiv Street. Police have previously found out that a 38-year-old native of the Vyzhnytsia district, while intoxicated, threw a grenade into his girlfriend's apartment. As a result of the explosion, the man suffered injuries to his limbs. The woman was also in the room at the time, but according to law enforcement, she was not injured.
The explosion partially damaged the door and floor of the apartment.
Law enforcement officers detained the Bukovinian. He is currently under the supervision of doctors and police officers.
Reportedly, law enforcement officers found another object that looked like a grenade in the apartment of man . The police seized the material evidence and sent it for examination.
Police investigators registered the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
