According to information, a rally was held in Chechnya, in the city of Achkhoy-Martan, where budget employees and local high school students were gathered. According to eyewitnesses, some tried to leave the event, but the authorities did not allow people to do so.

The rally was organized on the square in front of the administration building, where the body of a teenager who was shot after allegedly attacking police officers was displayed. The incident occurred on April 7, when a 17-year-old boy allegedly attacked DPS officers with a knife, one of whom died and two others were injured. He was killed in response.

The next day, local television showed a story stating that the attacker was a 17-year-old native of Achkhoy-Martan who lived in Moscow and came to Chechnya for Uraza-Bayram. 

According to media reports, after that Ramzan Kadyrov held a meeting where he stated that "the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard, together with the FSB, should expel from the territory of the republic the parents and brothers of those behind this. Their property must be confiscated. If they do not stop working for Ukraine, which finances them, after that, then other relatives must be expelled." However, Kadyrov also did not explain the source of his information.
