Pavel Dyachenko, head of the communications department of the National Police in Donetsk region, said this on one of the Ukrainian TV channels, according to UNN.

According to him, unlike Pokrovsk, the situation in other towns in the area is very difficult, as the towns suffer from constant shelling by the occupiers. "There are settlements that are directly on the line of fire. These are Pokrovsky district, Myrnohrad, which has been under attack for three days in a row, Selydove, Novohrodivka. The situation there is extremely difficult," said Dyachenko.

On August 19, the Pokrovska community of Donetsk region announced the forced evacuation of families with children. It is planned to take almost 4 thousand children from 14 settlements of the community.
Earlier, the head of the Pokrovsk MVA, Serhiy Dobryak, said that given the timing of the Russian army's advance in Donetsk, residents of Pokrovsk have a maximum of two weeks to evacuate.
Meanwhile, in Myrnohrad , police will search for parents hiding children from evacuation. Authorities are calling for evacuation, warning of a deteriorating situation and possible life under shelling without water and electricity.
