A 42-year-old man who raped his 16-year-old stepdaughter will be tried in Kyiv region. The child has had health problems since birth. This is reported by the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.

According to the pre-trial investigation conducted by the Bila Tserkva District Department of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast, it was established that in February this year, a man raped his 16-year-old stepdaughter, who has been disabled since birth.
It was also found that the defendant had previously been prosecuted for domestic violence in this family.
In this regard, the man is awaiting a court verdict, so he will now be held in custody.

It is worth noting that according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a guilty verdict.
