The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has named Rodri as the best player in the world in 2024. The Spaniard was ahead of Brazil's Vinicius Junior and England's Jude Bellingham in the voting, receiving 191 points. This was reported by UNN with reference to the IFFHS.

Rodri had an outstanding year, becoming a key player for Manchester City and the Spanish national team. He won every possible title in England and helped the national team win Euro 2024.
