The enemy is active along almost the entire contact line, concentrating its offensive efforts on the Liman and Pokrovsk directions. The number of combat engagements along the front line has increased to 83, UNN reports, citing the General Staff's summary as of 16:00.
"The occupation forces continue to hope for the realization of their plans. Thus, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has been active along almost the entire frontline, concentrating its offensive efforts on the Lyman and Pokrovske directions. The number of combat engagements along the front line increased to 83. Ukrainian defenders are resolutely restraining the onslaught of the occupation forces and inflicting significant losses on the enemy," the report says.
The General Staff notes that the Kharkiv region is suffering from systematic bombing by enemy aircraft. Today, terrorists conducted nine air strikes from the Russian territory, dropping 13 UAVs in total. They hit the areas of Izbytske, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Lyptsi and Vovchansky Khutory.
At the same time, seven enemy attacks were repelled near Lyptsi, Hlyboke and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv sector. The situation is under control.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy stormed our positions four times in the areas of Petropavlivka, Sinkivka and Stelmakhivka. Two firefights in the area of Petropavlivka and Stelmakhivka are ongoing.
In the Liman sector, the invading army carried out 13 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Nevske, Makiivka, Hrekivka, Terny and Torske. Six clashes ended without success for the enemy, and seven more are ongoing. The occupants are most active in the vicinity of Makiivka and Nevske, accounting for more than a third of all combat engagements.
In the Northern sector, the occupants carried out four attacks near Spirne and Vyymka. Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks. A battle is currently underway near Spirne. The situation is under control.
In the Kramatorsk sector, our troops repelled six unsuccessful attacks on our positions near Kalynivka, Klishchiyivka, Chasovyi Yar, Andriyivka and Ivanivske during the day.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted seven times to conduct assault operations near Toretsk, Zalizne, Pivnichne and New York. The battle is ongoing in the area of New York. In addition, the invaders launched air strikes on Yurivka with unguided missiles and dropped two UAVs near New York.
The Pokrovske sector witnessed the largest number of combat engagements so far. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants have made 26 attempts to force our defenders out of their positions in the areas of Yurivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Lozuvatske, Progress, Novoselivka Persha, Yevhenivka, Yasnobrodivka and Karlivka. Eight combat engagements are still ongoing. The enemy also conducted air strikes in the areas of Oleksandropol and Novoselivka Persha.
Fighting continues in the Kurakhove sector . So far, Ukrainian defenders have repelled ten attacks by the occupation army, the enemy is concentrating its efforts in the area of Kostyantynivka and Paraskoviivka. The occupants bombed the areas of Kostyantynivka and Katerynivka with UAVs.
In the Vremivsk sector, two enemy attacks near Vodiane were repelled. The enemy is actively using aviation, dropping a total of ten bombs near Yelizavetivka, Kostiantynopolske, Hannivka, Velyka Novosilka, and also launched an attack with unguided aerial missiles near Urozhayne.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the occupiers failed to advance near the settlements of Rabotyne and Novodanylivka, having made three assaults. In addition, they bombed the areas of Novodanylivka and Huliaipol with UAVs.
"Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy and inflict significant losses on it," the General Staff summarized.
