The Solomyanska District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv sent to court an indictment against a 55-year-old People's Deputy of the VI and VIII convocations, who was also a deputy of the Kyiv City Council. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

The defendant is accused of unauthorized occupation of land plots and illegal construction of a house within the coastal protective strip of the Dnipro River.
His actions are classified under Part 2 of Article 197-1 and Part 4 of Article 197-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. As established by the investigation, between 2008 and 2017, the accused, acting in prior conspiracy with his father, without appropriate decisions from state authorities, arbitrarily occupied adjacent land plots in the Dnipro district of Kyiv with an area of over 0.3 hectares.
The accused erected a fence around them, thereby restricting other people's access to the arbitrarily occupied territories and water. On one of these plots, in 2012, they built a house with an area of 103 square meters. At the same time, the plot is located within the coastal protective strip. The arbitrarily seized land plots are located within the 100-meter coastal protective strip of a large river, where any construction and installation of fences is prohibited by law
The sanction of the articles provides for imprisonment of up to three years or more.
