The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the current head of the military medical commission in Chernihiv region for corruption. According to the investigation, in exchange for bribes, he helped conscripts evade mobilization. This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Details
The defendant was a participant in a criminal scheme organized by the former head of the regional military medical commission of Chernihiv region, which the SBU documented in February this year. The SBU also exposed their accomplice, an official of the Chernihiv Military Enlistment Office's medical commission.
The defendants organized the issuance of false medical reports, which prescribed severe "diagnoses" for recruits. These documents were then sent to the military registration and enlistment office with a note: unfit for service due to "poor" health. This allowed the evaders to be de-registered from the military and travel abroad,
It was established that the offenders received up to USD 5 thousand from each client.
Based on the collected evidence, both defendants were served a notice of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
ч. 1, Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations);
3 of Art. 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine).
The actions of the head of the HQC were additionally qualified under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official).
He is currently in custody. The offenders face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Also, based on SBU materials, the property of the detained former head of the regional commission was seized.
We are talking about almost USD 1 million, 4 apartments in Kyiv, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv with a total area of more than 400 square meters, and land plots in Chernihiv region with a total area of about 4 hectares.
