Military expert Valery Ryabykh suggests that the F-16 could have been purchased in Ukraine earlier and helped repel the largest drone attack of the Russian Federation this year. He believes that the fighter radars could improve the effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense.

Military expert Valery Ryabykh suggests that the successful repelling of the largest drone attack of the Russian Federation this year may be due to the arrival of F-16 fighters in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed in the commentary UNN.

We do not exclude the possibility that F16s arrived earlier, for example, the largest drone attack since the beginning of this year, which was 100% repulsed. It is quite strange, because we have so differently increased the capabilities of the air defense forces to shoot down all the targets. In my opinion, this is due to the use of these aircraft

- says Ryabykh.

According to him, thanks to the latest radar system on fighter jets, Ukrainian air defenses could detect and destroy not only Shahed, but also other types of UAVs.

"In the case of integration of the F-16 into the Ukrainian air defense system, all data through the fighter radars was transmitted in real time to the Air Defense Forces, which helped to achieve such efficiency in destroying enemy targets," the expert adds.

In his opinion, even the take-off of Russian Tu-22 m bombers with the aim of launching a missile strike made it clear to Russia that something in the airspace of Ukraine has undergone changes.

The Center for countering disinformation has identified attempts by Russian propaganda to downplay the importance of the F-16 for Ukraine. Theses about the inefficiency of aircraft and threats of revenge from Russia are being spread.
