"At least 13 people were killed and 66 injured in an explosion at a key Qatari LNG processing complex in Ras Laffan on Sunday," the country's Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi said on Monday.

Earlier, it was reported about 54 injured and 18 missing as a result of the explosion.
The incident during the launch of production in the industrial city of Ras Laffan led to an explosion and fire at the local gas supply enterprise Barzan on Sunday evening, according to a statement from QatarEnergy. Emergency response teams were deployed to contain the fire, which is now under control.
