"Ukrenergo has refused to measure electricity consumption in different regions of Ukraine due to a lack of capacity and increased consumption. This is reported by UNN with reference to the statement of NPC Ukrenergo.

The company explains that currently a significant power shortage in the power grid and increased consumption due to the heat do not allow for measurements.

It should be noted that for this purpose planned to cancel the restrictions for each region on a specific day during these two weeks according to a certain schedule.
In response to numerous requests from regional power distribution companies, Ukrenergo cancels the metering during this period. In such circumstances, the regional power distribution companies will not be able to comply with the principle of uniformity of consumption restrictions when conducting measurements in a particular region
Nevertheless, Ukrenergo assures that the summertime measurements will be carried out later, when the situation in the power system allows and the air temperature drops.
The measurements are necessary to ensure a more even and accurate distribution of the available power in the system among the regions

From July 9 to July 24, all regions in turn had to cancel their electricity blackout schedules for a day to measure actual consumption and determine the best solutions for each region.
