The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended a resolution that provides for the establishment of the Council of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. This was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram, UNN reports.
Melnychuk said that amendments had been made to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 11.03.2022 N 257 "On the Establishment of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War".
"It is envisaged to create a Council of the Coordination Headquarters on the treatment of prisoners of war in order to formulate coordinated interagency positions of a strategic nature on the activities of the Coordination Headquarters," Melnychuk wrote.
According to him, it also provides for the creation of a negotiation group within the Coordination Headquarters, the establishment of regional offices (regional working groups) of the Coordination Headquarters, as well as the Public Council at the Coordination Headquarters as an effective tool for public influence on the process of exchange of prisoners of war.
