It is noted that the suspect passed the information to Russian intelligence through a "liaison" - a militant of the Russian occupation groups fighting on the eastern front. The woman used a pre-arranged code to communicate with the occupier in secret. For example, one dot in the correspondence meant "yes" and two dots meant "no".
SBU officers documented the suspect's intelligence activities and detained her in March 2023.
According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice was a resident of the Pokrovsk district who published anti-Ukrainian posts on Russian Telegram channels. Because of this, she came to the attention of the occupiers, who remotely engaged her in cooperation.
During the search of the detainee's apartment, the SBU seized a cell phone and a computer she used to communicate with the militant.
Based on the evidence collected, the court found her guilty under Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration). In addition to the actual term of imprisonment, all her property was confiscated.
