Canada will provide $5.7 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, focusing on children. This was announced by the Minister of International Development of Canada Ahmed Hussen during a briefing, according to a correspondent of UNN .
Today, I am very pleased to announce that Canada will provide further assistance - $3.5 million to the United Kingdom International Medical Corps. I am also announcing $2 million for Save the Children (a Canadian organization), and 200 thousand Canadian dollars for the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs to support the humanitarian mission that these organizations are carrying out in Ukraine. That is, in total, humanitarian support, humanitarian funding, which I have just described, amounts to $5.7 million.
The Ombudsman of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, expressed his gratitude for the launch of a separate program and the allocation of a special budget from the Canadian government, which will be directed through UNICEF to support Ukrainian children.
