British Foreign Secretary David Cameron has ruled out the possibility of deploying Western troops directly to Ukraine, describing this option as undesirable and a target for Putin. This was reported by UNN with reference to BBC.

In an interview, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron ruled out the possibility of deploying Western troops directly to Ukraine, describing it as an undesirable situation that could be a target for Putin. He noted that the UK will use the "NATO architecture" to support Ukraine, distinguishing between a NATO mission "for Ukraine" and "in Ukraine.

I believe that saying that we are going to help this independent sovereign country fight off the aggressor, we are going to provide it with all the help we can, is not an escalation

- He said in an interview.

He also called on other countries that support Ukraine to step up, possibly by donating weapons.

Some weapons have an expiration date. It is much better to give them to Ukraine and they can use them than to decommission them at home, which actually costs you money

- He added.
