The British Ministry of Defense noted that in July 2024, Russian ground forces continued to attack incessantly in the central part of the Donetsk region. They steadily advanced to the west, taking control of several villages and approaching the logistics hub of Pokrovsk.
Russian ground troops also advanced north to the city of New York, which has been on the front line since 2014.
It is likely that Russia will continue its tactical advance in the coming weeks, according to British intelligence.
