Feathered inhabitants of "KyivZoo" are returning to their summer homes. A flock of red-listed pelicans, numbering 23 birds, can now be observed near their homes near the lakes next to the Central Entrance.
This was reported by the KMDA, reports UNN.
The zoo is home to 4 curly and 16 pink pelicans. Last year, this flock was replenished with three more chicks. Their comfortable life is ensured by clean water, natural stones, grassy slopes, dense bushes and tall trees, areas for sunbathing and nesting platforms.
You can see these bright birds on the spring lakes of KyivZoo near the Central Entrance, and at 12 o'clock you can watch their fish lunch with your own eyes. By the way, the birds have no complaints about their appetite. Each of them eats up to 1.5 kg of fish at a time.
Ticket offices of "KyivZoo" are open: on Monday - from 12:00 to 16:00; from Tuesday to Sunday - from 10:00 to 16:00.
Earlier, UNN wrote that summer enclosures have begun to open in the Kyiv Zoo. An elephant, zebras, baboons, macaques, lyre deer and other heat-loving animals have already begun to come out.
