In Sumy region, border guards repelled an attack by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group, and the Russians retreated. This was reported on Monday by the State Border Guard Service, UNN reports.
"A Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to enter Ukraine from its territory. The saboteurs were detected by border guards and opened deadly fire," the SBGS said in a statement.
As noted, the enemy still tried to engage in small arms combat and eventually retreated.
