Apple is nearing the launch of updated MacBook Air models with the M4 chip, which will be released in early 2025. This is a continuation of the wave of new computers that the company will present next week.

The new MacBook Air model will keep the design that was introduced in 2022, but will have a new M4 chip. According to the sources, the company will soon begin production of new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models, which are codenamed J713 and J715.
But an Apple representative declined to comment.
Apple will upgrade all Macs to M4 chips, which will improve the speed and efficiency of processing AI-related tasks. This update will include new MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac models that will be introduced next week.
MacBook Airs with M4 chips will be available after the December software update. The new models are scheduled to be released between January and March 2025.
The last update of the MacBook Air with the M3 chip took place in March 2023, and in June the company released a 15-inch version with the M2 chip.
The release of a new Mac Studio aimed at professionals has been postponed. This model, which does not have a built-in screen, will now appear between March and June 2025.
The company is also working on a version of the Mac Pro with the M4 chip, which will be Apple's most expensive computer.
The M4 chips will bring significant updates to Mac Studio and Mac Pro, including ray tracing technology to improve graphics in games. They will also improve the Neural Engine, which is responsible for processing artificial intelligence tasks in the new Apple Intelligence platform.
In the same spring period, the company plans to release new iPhone SE, iPad Air, and improved iPad keyboards. The company also expects to release budget models of the 11th generation iPad with codenames J481 and J482.
