Due to the russian attack on the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant, specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southern District recorded a leak of oil products into the Dnipro River. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southern District.

It is noted that specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southern District promptly inspected the affected areas to determine the environmental damage.
As a result of the hit to the Dnipro HPP, soil contamination was recorded, oil products leaked into the Dnipro River water body, and the Inspectorate's specialists took water samples for laboratory analysis. All received materials will be transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the SEI of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies

In addition, specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southern District recorded area of contamination with demolition waste:
- on Slavutycha Street over 7200m2.
- on Petra Sahaidachnoho (Borodynska) street, more than 300m2.

Yuriy Belousov, head of the Department for Combating Crimes in the Context of Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General's Office, said that eight missiles hit the Dnipro HPP, so the damage to the facility is very significant.
