The opinions of Americans about which of the two candidates for the highest office, Joe Biden or Donald Trump, will better cope with the duties of the president, are divided approximately equally. This is stated in a poll by ABC News/Ipsos, reports UNN.

The poll showed that 36% of respondents believe that Trump will do a better job of leading the country, 33% believe that Biden will do a better job, and 30% do not believe either.
About two-thirds of Americans continue to disapprove of Biden's actions on immigration and the situation on the US-Mexico border, inflation, and the war between Israel and Hamas.

Biden's rating has changed on two issues - abortion, where his rating has improved but shows an almost equal gap in the rating, and the war between Israel and Hamas, where his rating has deteriorated.
Meanwhile, Trump's rating during his tenure as president is higher than Biden's in four of the seven issues surveyed, including the economy, inflation, immigration, the situation on the U.S.-Mexico border, and crime. But his overall performance rating is still close to Biden's.
According to the poll, Trump's approval rating among Republicans ranges from 70 to 90 percent on many issues, while Biden's approval rating among Democrats on the same issues ranges from 59 to 70 percent.
The ABC News/Ipsos poll was conducted March 8-9 and is based on a sample of 536 adults. The margin of error is plus or minus 4-5 percentage points.
