In the Chernihiv region, a driver was charged with drunken driving in a car with three minor children, UNN reports, citing the regional police department.

"Officers of the Patrol Police Response Unit of the Chernihiv District Police Department drew up a number of administrative reports against a 35-year-old driver of a VAZ who was driving while intoxicated. There were three of her minor children in the car," the statement said.
While patrolling in a village of the Bereznyanska community in Chernihiv district, the attention of the patrol police response unit was reportedly drawn to a VAZ car whose driver was not wearing a seat belt.
"When the patrol policemen stopped the car to check it, the female driver showed obvious signs of alcohol intoxication during the conversation. In addition to the driver herself, there were three of her minor children and her godmother in the car," the statement said.
"At the scene, in accordance with the procedure established by law, the police conducted a test of the offender's condition using a Drager device. The device showed that the alcohol content in the woman's blood reached 2.98 ppm, which is almost 15 times higher than the maximum permissible limit (0.2 ppm)," the police said.
It also turned out that the woman had no documents either for the vehicle or for the right to drive it.
The law enforcement officers suspended the 35-year-old woman from driving and drew up administrative materials against her for a number of traffic violations: under Article 130, paragraph 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (driving while intoxicated); Article 126, paragraph 2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (driving while unauthorized); Article 121, paragraph 5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the rules for using a seat belt).
