Details
According to the Ministry of Defense, the kit will be provided to wounded servicemen and will allow them to quickly change into comfortable clothes at a stabilization center or hospital. The terms of reference were determined by the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking into account the recommendations of military medics and volunteers.
The main requirements for it were convenience for the wounded, manufacturability and wear resistance.
"The kit will include a T-shirt, shorts, pants, a T-shirt and a raglan. All the clothes should be unzipped along the side seams with special textile fasteners that should not touch the patient's skin and cause irritation. These and other technological features are designed to make the set of clothes comfortable even for sedentary wounded," the statement said.
The size chart of the suits is provided in 5 sizes and will have 3 heights. The clothes will be comfortable for both men and women.
"This is a very important step to create comfortable conditions for the wounded at the stabilization center stage. Our goal is to ensure that every wounded person receives this kit. After all, most of them are left without the necessary basic necessities after being evacuated from the battlefield to stabilization centers or hospitals. There is still a lot of standard-setting and testing work ahead, but the main step has already been taken," said Natalia Kalmykova, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
Currently, several models of Ukrainian manufacturers are being finalized and will be tested in practical conditions during military research trials, the Defense Ministry added.
