After Christmas, Christmas trees quickly turn into bulky garbage. Activists urge to think about the environment by getting rid of them, Euronews writes, UNN informs.
Details
According to the publication, in Romania, Christmas tree prices at fairs before Christmas could reach about 80 euros. Now, unsold trees abandoned by traders can be seen all over Bucharest.
Eco-activists urge people to dispose of Christmas trees more responsibly and not to create additional waste. So, if you bought a tree in a pot, it is recommended to plant it in the ground again. You can also chop the trunk and use the resulting chips in the garden. If you don't have a garden, you should take the tree to a waste recycling center.
Some traders still hope to sell the remaining Christmas trees to those who celebrate Christmas on January 7 or New Year's Day.
