A large-scale fire occurred on a gas pipeline in Putra Heights near the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur: according to local media, a pillar of fire was visible for kilometers. At 08:23 local time, rescuers received a report of a fire and explosion on a gas pipeline.
As a result of the incident, more than 100 people were injured, of which more than 60 people need hospitalization. It is also reported that the fire was caused by a leak on the gas pipeline and occurred near a residential building.
As a result of the explosion, several residential buildings caught fire: rescuers are trying to find survivors, an evacuation of residential areas in the epicenter of the explosion has been announced. At the same time, local authorities do not rule out the presence of dead.
